Fort Bend County is seeking a part-time Library Assistant for Youth Services at First Colony. The role supports the full-time staff at reference desks, helps with children's programming, and performs shelf-reading duties as needed.
It requires a high school diploma and college coursework, plus comfort using public computers and databases. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with staff and the public are essential, as is the physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up
Requires high school diploma and 48 credit hours of college, relevant experience working with children in groups preferred; typing and keyboarding skills; computer skills involving use of the internet and database searching; good communication skills and ability to interact easily with staff and public; ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift library materials up to 25 pounds.
Part‑time $15.30 per hour, 24 hours per week.
