LIBRARY ASSISTANT - PART-TIME

Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library System

The Blacksburg Library Branch of the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library System has a part-time year-round front desk opening. Working roughly 16-20 hours per week, duties include public-facing engagement, providing customer service, processing materials, shelving, and event management. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends. A high school diploma/GED equivalent plus computer and customer service experience is required; library experience is preferred. A background check, drug screening, which includes THC, and DMV screening are required. Success in this position draws on the incumbent's competencies in advocating an inclusive and diverse library environment, nurturing safe and accessible library spaces, and embracing innovative processes and technologies that enhance library operations.

Pay $15.37 per hour
