Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or relevant experience.
• Some knowledge of library procedures and filing systems.
• Ability to read, alphabetize, file and perform basic clerical tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assists in processing new and discarded library materials.
• Manages circulation transactions.
• Shelves materials and assists with organization.
• Assists librarian in repairing books and maintaining resources.
• Helps students and staff locate materials and use library databases.
• Assists in preparing and implementing lessons and programs.
