Welcome researchers from UNM and around the world at the Access Desk for the Center for Southwest Research & Special Collections in Zimmerman Library. The Library Assistant works closely with CSWR staff to retrieve and shelve materials, answer routine questions, perform clerical and customer service functions, conduct searches for missing items, process duplication requests, and assist with digitization projects. The role may include assisting archivists with basic processing, preservation, and conservation of archival materials, following archival policies. Additional duties may involve basic research, training, supervising new student employees, and supporting special projects.
