The Fresno County Public Library invites applications for the position of Library Assistant. Incumbents assist the public with library materials and programs, support professional librarians, may be responsible for a community library, and perform related work as required.
The current vacancies are part-time, limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week. The eligible list from this recruitment may be used to fill both full and part-time positions as vacancies occur. Working hours vary between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., including evenings and weekends (including Sundays). Applicants must be willing to work various shifts and travel between sites as needed.

Positions are in Medical Group II - Moderate Physical Activity. This involves moderate physical effort, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects weighing 10-25 pounds, occasionally over 25 pounds, along with bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, standing, and walking.
