Job summary

The UCLA Library is seeking a Library Analytics, Metrics & Assessment Librarian (LAMAL) to advance evidence-informed decisions across units. You will develop dashboards, reports, and benchmarks using Alma Analytics, Tableau, and related tools while leading analytics projects and promoting best practices in data documentation and governance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library/Information Science or related field.
• Experience generating queries/reports from analytics environments and BI platforms.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard tools and clear data storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Define assessment plans, measures, data requirements, and deliverables with library units.
• Extract, clean, validate, and analyze data from library systems and related sources.
• Apply descriptive statistics, benchmarking, survey design, and workflow analysis.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Alma Analytics, Tableau, and related tools.
• Create data dictionaries, documentation, and reproducible workflows for reporting.
• Manage analytics projects from intake to completion with stakeholder communication.
• Improve data collection and workflows to support reliable analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate with development teams to provide impact metrics for donor stewardship and collections.
