Job summary

Copperas Cove ISD is seeking a Library Aide to support the campus library. Duties include assisting students and staff, locating materials, and helping with online databases.

The role also covers shelving, displays, inventory, and minor technology troubleshooting under the librarian and campus principal’s supervision. The ideal candidate has 48 college credits or an associate degree (or a high school diploma with Region 12 Paraprofessional Certificate) and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn the library collection to assist readers.

Responsibilities

• Assist users with locating materials and online databases.
• Operate the circulation system and check books in/out.
• Create engaging displays and promotional bulletin boards.
• Assist in receiving books and supplies, shelving, and tidying the library.
• Support the librarian and teachers with requests and training.
• Supervise library operations in the absence of the librarian.
