Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience as a Library Aide I or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic public library principles and Library of Congress Classification system.
• Ability to lift 20-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lending and collecting library materials and customer accounts.
• Register new customers and issue library cards.
• Sort and reshelve materials and answer routine questions.
• Teach customers how to use library resources and assist with programs.
• Operate library systems and perform collection-maintenance duties.
