You’ll start by checking in with the team, reviewing what’s happening that day, and getting your workstation ready for patrons. Throughout the shift, you’ll move between helping community members with quick questions, staying on top of details that keep materials and records in order, and pitching in as priorities change. When a program is on the calendar, you’ll spend time preparing the space and supplies, then help things wrap up smoothly afterward. You’ll also have moments to learn new processes, coordinate with coworkers, and keep the public area tidy and ready for the next visitor.
