Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and/or 30 semester hours of an accredited college or university.
• Educational Aide Certificate from state.
• TEA Educational Aide Certificate is required or willingness to apply.
• Three creditable years of experience as an educational aide I or II, or 30 semester hours of college credit with a child development focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the librarian and teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Work with individual students or small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with administration and scoring of objective tests and assignments.
• Supervise students throughout the school day and communicate student needs to the teacher.
• Maintain neat and orderly classrooms and library areas and assist with records and reports.
