Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and/or 30 semester hours of college.
• Educational Aide Certificate required by state.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist librarian and teacher with activities and administrative requirements.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Work with individual students or small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Assist with inventory, equipment care and maintenance.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom and library.
• Assist in keeping administrative records and preparing reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Operate classroom and library equipment as needed.
