City of Grapevine’s library is seeking a Casual/Part-Time Library Aide to assist with shelving circulated and in-house used materials, enabling immediate recirculation. Under supervision, you will stock shelves, perform shelf reads, and handle returns while maintaining clean, orderly stacks.
You will provide friendly customer service, assist with basic filing and data entry, support daily operations, and help with light cleaning and routine duties.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
High school student, graduate or equivalent.
Ability to learn alpha numerical filing and Dewey Decimal Classification System of shelving.
Must have the physical ability to perform job functions.
Ability to speak English is required; ability to speak Spanish fluently is preferred.
Must pass a federal/national criminal background check and those handling money will be required to pass a credit check.
Must pass a pre-employment basic physical, drug screen, and functional assessment screening (Level 2).
