St. Joseph's Health is seeking a professional librarian to provide library services to hospital employees and the medical staff at St. Joseph's University Medical Center.
The role includes delivering evidence-based information, supporting clinical teams, and maintaining vital collections. Required is a Master's degree in Library Science (ALA-accredited) and three to five years of related experience; MLA certification is preferred.
Responsible for providing professional library services to hospital employees and medical staff. Provides professional library services to all hospital employees and the medical staff of the circuit hospitals and documents the provision of those services.
Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Master's degree in Library Science from a school accredited by the American Library Association and three to five years of previous work related experience. Certification by the Medical Library Association preferred. Work requires the analytical ability to gather and interpret data in situations where the information or problems are not overly difficult or complex. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, explain hospital policies and relay messages to appropriate personnel.
Benefits Eligibility: (Full-time and Part-time Employees-over 20 hours a week)
