Montgomery College is seeking a Full-Time Librarian II for the Research and Teaching division at Germantown Campus. The role includes professional reference services, information literacy instruction, and coordination of library support for English composition courses across campus locations and online.

The position reports to the librarian supervisor and emphasizes collaboration with faculty, ongoing professional development, and use of digital learning objects.

Qualifications

• MLS or equivalent degree in library/information science.
• 3 years of professional library experience in academia or public libraries.
• Knowledge of library science principles for academic libraries.
• Experience with library research tools and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to instruct students in using library resources.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional reference assistance and information services.
• Deliver information literacy instruction in classrooms and online.
• Coordinate library instruction for English composition courses across campuses.
