Responsibilities

• Create a library program and classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
• Teaches information literacy skills and reading guidance, helping students find appropriate material.
• Prepares, manages, and monitors the library budget in accordance with district and school guidelines.
• Promotes reading and information resources through storytelling, displays, publications, research projects and special events.
• Establishes positive relationships with students, parents, staff, volunteers and visitors.
• Processes, catalogs, circulates, shelves and inventories library materials and devices essential to instruction.
• Performs other duties as designated by the Principal or the District Media Supervisor.
