Job summary

South Texas College is seeking a Librarian II - Programming who will plan and implement educational events across all libraries, both virtually and in person. You will promote programs, coordinate presenters, and manage district-wide events with strong collaboration from the Engagement Specialist and Graphic Designer.

You will oversee budgeting, data reporting, and classroom-ready library instruction aligned with standards, helping to connect curricula to resources and foster a welcoming campus

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library Science and/or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• At least two years of library services experience.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.
• At least two years of library programming experience.
• Recent academic library experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct educational events and exhibitions for campus libraries.
• Promote programs via publicity releases, flyers, blogs and social media.
• Coordinate presenter contracts and district-wide programming.
• Support district-wide open house events and celebrations.
• Facilitate online events and assist with room reservations.
