The essential function of the position within the organization is to perform professional, administrative and supervisory work and provide effective library services in area(s) of specialization to the citizens of Lake County. The position is responsible for supervising and participating in library services and programming, collection development and maintenance, facility organization and maintenance, and community relations, and may be assigned to manage the daily activities of a branch library or assist in managing the library system’s technical equipment and services. The position works under general supervision independently developing work methods and sequences.
This position shall be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited College or University with two (2) years of experience of which one has been in a supervisory or lead capacity.
Requires a valid Florida driver's license.
