USC Beaufort Library is seeking a service-oriented Research, Instruction and Student Success Librarian. The role collaborates with faculty to build information literacy instruction, provides student consultations, maintains research guides, and supports OER initiatives.

The librarian will coordinate student success programs, engage with faculty and staff, and contribute to the library’s outreach, makerspace activities, and instructional design across in-person and online formats.

Qualifications

• ALA-accredited MLS/MIS in library science.
• Experience in an academic library.
• Strong collaboration with faculty to integrate information literacy into courses.
• Familiarity with Open Educational Resources (OER) and student success initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Provide digital and in-person research services and instruction for students, faculty, staff, and community users.
• Coordinate and lead the library’s student success initiatives and assessment activities.
• Develop LibGuides and digital learning objects; create and update instructional materials.
• Lead library instruction sessions and collaborate with faculty to embed information literacy into Blackboard-based courses.
• Support Open Educational Resources (OER) initiatives and textbook affordability campaigns.
