Applitrack is seeking a Librarian/Library Media Specialist to lead the school library program, collaborating with faculty to foster information literacy for lifelong learning. It is the responsibility of the Librarian/Library Media Specialist to function as a leader in the learning community of the school by collaborating with faculty and staff to prepare students with information and technological literacy skills for lifelong independent learning. The Librarian/Library Media Specialist shall administer the library/media program in conformance with professional library standards and principles as well as local and state policies. This includes but is not limited to supervising students; answering reference questions; serving as a readers' advisor; instructing individuals and classes; serving as a curriculum resource for staff; and cataloging materials.
Other duties as assigned that are related to the functions of the position.
Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. Must hold a valid Teacher Certificate with Library Science endorsement.
