Job summary

PACCAR Inc in Denton, TX is seeking an engineer to design, develop, and implement truck systems and components. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives, drive design changes, and advance product quality throughout all stages of development.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree with 3+ years of relevant experience and can commit to a Monday–Friday 4:30 PM–1:00 AM shift. Benefits include 401k, pension, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities

  • Applies engineering expertise in mechanical and/or electrical systems to design, develop, and implement truck systems and components.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams and internal departments to successfully execute project objectives.
  • Evaluates, approves, performs, and delegates design modifications to ensure product performance, quality, and compliance requirements are met.Identifies opportunities for innovation and leads the development of complex engineering designs and solutions.
  • Directs and conducts technical research to support design development, problem resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manages design and manufacturing process changes through all phases of the product development lifecycle, including planning, analysis, design, testing, validation, and implementation.
  • Executes project work that supports key operational objectives related to product quality improvement (PQI) and direct process utilization (DPU).
  • Effectively manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.
  • Utilizes strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and drive effective solutions.
  • Communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels through clear written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Builds collaborative relationships across teams through strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork.

Education

Requisition Summary
