Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Liability Claims Examiner to analyze General Liability & Auto BI (Litigated & Non-Litigated), Premises claims for clients across industries. You will adjudicate claims, determine benefits due, and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires 5 years of claims management experience, NY labor law exposure, and GL experience, with a preference for NY licensing and a strong client-service mindset. This position offers flexibility and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Experience: 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• NY labor law experience and tender experience; MUST have GL experience.
• Jurisdiction Knowledge: Nationwide - Heavy NY; Licensing: Home state - NY preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze General Liability & Auto BI (Litigated & Non-Litigated), Premises claims to determine benefits due.
• Adjudicate claims within service expectations and client requirements.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Report claims to excess carrier and respond to directions professionally.
