Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner - Liability | GL & BI to analyze General liability and Bodily Injury claims on behalf of our clients, determining benefits and ensuring timely adjudication. The role interacts with claimants and clients, negotiating settlements and maintaining clear communication.

A strong background in claims management and licenses is required. The position supports a hybrid work model with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Home state licensing required.
• Jurisdiction knowledge: All states.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing claims to determine benefits due and ensure adjudication within service expectations.
• Negotiating settlement of claims within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with the claimant and client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions in a timely manner.
