The Opportunity

As a Liability Adjuster, you’ll manage a caseload of, low-complexity claims while building your skills as an auto claims adjuster. We expect Entry-Level Claims Adjusters to learn quickly and be on a "fast-track" to grow within the business. Our goal is to leverage technology, data, and a team of highly talented people to build a claims experience that is recognized as number 1 in the industry.

You will have role-specific training with Root and self-study before completing an adjuster licensing exam (paid for by Root).

Salary: $45,840.00-$50,000

Responsibilities

• Initiates, investigates, evaluates, negotiates and finalizes claims resulting from simple auto accident losses

• Leverage internal tools to research and resolve customer requests thoroughly and accurately

• Gather necessary information from customers

• Consistently makes prompt and courteous contact with every party involved in a claim

• Uses exemplary time management and organizational skills to manage pending claims and associates tasks proactively

• Coordinates the repair of damaged vehicles, and assists with rental reimbursement

• Provides input for continuous development of claims guidelines and best practices

• Recommends potential product developments and process improvements

• Interacts and communicates effectively with customers, peers, vendors, and managers

• Engages in learning opportunities to build knowledge of personal lines claims, court decisions impacting the claims functions, current guidelines in claims function, and policy changes and modifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

• Less than 1 year of claims experience

• Successful history of time management, multi-tasking, and customer-facing communication

• Ability to secure an adjuster insurance license within 90 days of the start date

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite

• High sense of professionalism while remaining empathetic

• Curious in nature

• Willingness and ability to keep learning

• Great attention to detail with high organizational skills

• Ability to approach problems with an open mind

• Strong decision-making capabilities

• Ability to complete other duties as assigned
