Job summary

Trident Seafoods/LFS, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Seine Net Hanger for our Homer, Alaska operations. The role emphasizes following a net plan without supervision and precise handling of lead, cork, and rib lines to meet production standards.

Responsibilities include cutting, spacing, and counting patterns, building braided-line eyes, and maintaining overall workmanship. Requires forklift certification and at least five years in related work; strong teamwork and safety awareness are essential.

• Forklift certified.

Responsibilities

• Follow a net plan without supervision.
• Splice all lead line types as required.
• Set cork line, rib line and lead line measurements properly.
• Display consistency in construction and spacing.
• Hang lead, cork or rib line up to 60’ per hour.
• Count/recognize vertical seam pickup patterns accurately.
• Apply proper selvedge for web direction.
• Build eyes in braided line for 4, 6, 8, 12 strands.

Summary

Experienced Seine Net Hanger needed for commercial fishing production shop.

Essential Functions: (Responsibilities, Tasks, Supervisory Needs)

• Has the ability to follow a net plan wthout supervision
• Can splice all lead line types
• Can set cork line, rib line and lead line measurments properly
• Display consistency in consutruction and know spacing
• Hang lead, cork or rib line 60’/hour
• Has the ability to accurately count / know veritcal seam pick up patterns
• Can apply proper selvedge for web direction
• Can build eyes in braided line 4, 6, 8, 12 strand
