Job summary

Trident Seafoods/LFS, Inc. is seeking a Seine Net Hanger for our Homer, AK production shop. The role focuses on following a prescribed net plan, splicing lead lines, and setting cork and rib line measurements to ensure precise net construction.

The candidate will demonstrate accuracy in line spacing, count patterns, and proper eye-braiding techniques. This full-time position emphasizes teamwork and adherence to safety standards in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years related work experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certified.

Responsibilities

• Follow a net plan with minimal supervision.
• Splice all lead line types.
• Set cork, rib and lead line measurements accurately.
• Display consistency in net construction and spacing.
• Hang lead, cork or rib line at 60 feet per hour.
• Count and identify vertical seam pick up patterns.
• Apply proper selvedge for web direction.
• Build eyes in braided line (4, 6, 8, 12 strand).
• Perform other similar or related duties as requested.

LFS, Inc., established in 1967 in Bellingham, Washington, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Summary: Experienced Seine Net Hanger needed for commercial fishing production shop.
