Job summary

University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital is seeking a Level IV NICU RN to join a high-acuity neonatal unit. The role entails 60 hours every two weeks on night shifts (12-hour shifts) and a rotation that includes every third weekend.

The NICU provides advanced neonatal care including High Frequency ventilation, ECMO, and dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioners on staff 24/7. RN experience in NICU preferred; MN RN license and BLS required; NRP within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience OR at least 6 months of current employment at UMMCH as a NICU RN
• MN RN License required
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide care for NICU patients with complex needs
• Perform advanced monitoring using current technology
• Utilize High Frequency ventilation and support critically ill neonates
• Care for surgical neonates, intubated patients, and those with tracheostomies
• Manage life-saving modalities (TBC, ECMO, PD) and central lines
