Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking an Automated Ultrasonic Technician with B-Scan for Norco, LA.

The technician will perform UT inspections and Large Structure Inspections (LSI) according to inspection plans, identify locations, document findings, and create UT sketches while maintaining schedules and safety standards. Minimum requirements include Level II ultrasonic certification, knowledge of B-scan, completion of MISTRAS LSI training, ability to pass Rope Access Level I, strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• Certified Level II ultrasonic testing.
• Knowledge of B-scan and experience performing B-scan inspections.
• Completion of MISTRAS LSI training or certification.
• Ability to pass Rope Access Level I training and certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform UT inspections and Large Structure Inspections (LSI) as per inspection plans.
• Identify inspection locations in accordance with written procedures.
• Document inspection findings appropriately for the given method.
• Create UT Sketches for documenting locations and inspection results.
• Complete assigned inspections in a timely manner to ensure schedule compliance.
• Perform all duties in accordance with applicable MISTRAS safety requirements.
