Job summary

National Inspection & Consultants (NIC) / an Element Company is seeking experienced NDT Level II MT and VT Technicians to support NAVSEA-related projects in Cleveland, OH and Newport News, VA.

Required: current Level II MT and VT qualifications, VT training (24 h, 210 OJT) and MT training (20 h, 280 OJT); documentation to verify credentials; ASNT-TC-1A/NAVSEA compliance.

U.S. citizenship is required due to ITAR; candidates must pass background, security and drug screenings before access.

Qualifications

• Current Level II MT and VT qualifications/certifications.
• Minimum of 24 hours of VT classroom training with 210 OJT hours.
• Minimum of 20 hours of MT classroom training with 280 OJT hours.
• Qualifications must be supported by appropriate training, classroom and OJT records.
• Certification must meet applicable ASNT-TC-1A and NAVSEA written practice requirements.
• ITAR / U.S. Citizenship requirement: ONLY U.S. CITIZENS will be considered.
• Candidates must pass background/security/drug screening and badging for site access.

Responsibilities

• Support NAVSEA-related inspection projects in Cleveland, OH and Newport News, VA.
• Maintain NDT Level II MT/VT credentials and provide qualification documentation upon request.

National Inspection & Consultants (NIC) / an Element Company is seeking experienced NDT Level II Magnetic Particle (MT) and Visual Testing (VT) Technicians to support NAVSEA-related inspection projects in Cleveland, Ohio and Newport News, Virginia.

These are excellent opportunities for experienced NDT professionals with Navy, shipyard, defense, marine, fabrication, or heavy industrial inspection experience.

PROJECT LOCATIONS:

• Cleveland, OH - Duration 3-4 months
• Newport News, VA - Long Term (Ongoing project)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Level II MT and VT qualifications/certifications
• minimum of 24 hours of classroom training in VT with 210 OJT hours.
• minimum of 20 hours of classroom training in MT with 280 OJT hours.
• Qualifications must be supported by appropriate training, classroom and OJT experience records. Candidates MUST be able to provide supporting NDT qualification documentation upon request.

Certification summaries alone may not be sufficient. Training and experience must be supported by appropriate documentation and may be subject to QA/customer verification before site access.

ITAR / U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT: Due to ITAR, defense-industry, and project access requirements, ONLY U.S. CITIZENS will be considered.

Candidates must be able to successfully complete all applicable background screening, security screening, drug screening, badging, and customer/site-access requirements prior to beginning work.
