Job summary

Bachner Electro USA, Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking a Level 2 Low Voltage Technician. The role involves independent installation work, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior technicians within a growing team.

Typical duties include installing copper and fiber cabling, CCTV and access control devices, reading drawings, and performing tests per project specs. The position follows a four 10-hour day schedule Monday–Thursday with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform low-voltage installation tasks independently.
• Working knowledge of structured cabling and basic data networking.
• Ability to distinguish color-coded cabling and installation identifiers.
• Ability to work safely in construction environments and handle physical tasks as required.
• Background check, MVR check, and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling.
• Install and troubleshoot access control devices and CCTV cameras.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, floor plans, and installation specifications.
• Perform cable testing and basic certification per project requirements.
• Complete assigned work independently and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Assist Lead Technicians with complex installations and quality control.
• Guide Level 1 Technicians in installation practices and safety.
• Maintain organized work areas and document cable identifiers and testing results.
