Job summary

Bachner Electro USA, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Low Voltage Technician to join our Charleston, SC team.

No prior low-voltage installation experience is required, as hands-on training and CommScope certifications are provided at no cost for eligible employees. You will pull, route, and dress cabling, install CCTV cameras and access control devices, read drawings, and work with low-voltage testing equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to assigned jobsites.
• Willingness to learn technical installation skills and follow directions from experienced team members.
• Ability to distinguish color-coded cabling and installation identifiers.
• Ability to work safely in construction environments, climbing ladders, overhead work, and confined or awkward spaces as required.
• Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, including lifting and moving materials.
• Ability to meet project scheduling requirements, including occasional overtime and regional travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pulling, routing, securing, labeling, and dressing copper and fiber-optic cabling.
• Installing cable supports, pathways, racks, and related infrastructure.
• Assisting with cable termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Installing access control devices, CCTV cameras, and associated equipment.
• Reading construction drawings, floor plans, and cable schedules.
• Using hand tools, power tools, and low-voltage testing equipment safely.
• Maintaining installation quality, material accountability, and organized work areas.
• Following project specifications, industry standards, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Developing additional technical skills as assignments and training opportunities expand.
