Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Job Title – CMMC Software Architect (Cybersecurity Compliance)

Location – Remote (with occasional travel to client sites as needed)

Role Type – Contract (initial 8-month contract with strong potential for extension)

Must Have Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of relevant experience
• Software development and enterprise application architecture experience
• Understanding of cybersecurity, infrastructure, and compliance-driven development
• Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership awareness
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and willingness to travel

Responsibilities and Job Details:

• Architect and design secure software systems aligned with CMMC and federal compliance frameworks
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to develop application architectures supporting regulatory mandates
• Ensure secure development practices and integration with FedRAMP, DFARS, and CUI guidelines
• Provide hands-on leadership in aligning software engineering practices with GRC requirements
• Guide clients in developing and deploying software solutions that meet evolving CMMC maturity levels
• Lead technical workshops, discovery sessions, and compliance mapping exercises
• Assess and modernize legacy applications with compliance and security in mind
• Participate in threat modeling, secure coding reviews, and vulnerability mitigation
• Document and communicate architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support audit readiness by ensuring software architectures align with evidence requirements
• Stay current on evolving federal security mandates and software assurance methodologies
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants and client engineering teams
