Qualifications

• Requires college hours or GED (preferred).
• Texas Driver License and transportation required.
• Level II security commission certification from Texas.
• Ability to record information clearly.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work effectively with students and communicate well.
• Familiarity with security techniques and electronic systems.
• Interest in educational environments and working with adolescents.
• Experience as security guard preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and protection for students, staff, and district property.
• Serve as security resource to students and campus personnel.
• Maintain relationships with faculty and law enforcement.
• Identify unauthorized persons on campus and verify authority.
• Report criminal offenses to the district police department.
• Prepare and file applicable reports.
• Appear in court or hearings as needed.
• Maintain a visible adult presence during events.
• Conduct random security patrols on campus.
• Coordinate security with Katy ISD police personnel.
• Assist during disasters as required.
