Responsibilities
  1. Assist in conducting preventative maintenance and basic repairs on Diesel and CNG vehicles under shop leadership.
  2. Inspect brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other parts to ensure proper operation.
  3. Perform basic preventative maintenance such as tire, oil, and brake changes.
  4. Participate in training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  5. Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions.
  6. Perform DOT, PM, brake, and safety inspections under supervision.
  7. Complete work orders, order parts, and handle administrative duties.
  8. Ensure safety regulations are followed and maintain a clean work area.
  9. Maintain basic knowledge of hydraulic systems.
Qualifications
  • At least 1+ years of entry-level experience.
  • Willingness to learn complex diagnostics and repairs.
  • Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and related regulations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals and documents.
  • Experience with diagnostic software preferred; must be computer literate.
  • Class A or B CDL preferred or willingness to obtain within six months.
  • ASE certifications preferred.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to operate trucks and equipment.
  • Visual and physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, climbing, reaching, and other physical activities.
