Job summary

Envirotrol seeks a Commercial Service Technician Level 2 in Greenville, SC to service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems up to 50 tons. You will diagnose issues, read gauges, and work closely with a Service Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires initiative and clear communication, with the ability to work both in a team and independently while adhering to Envirotrol’s procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems ≤50 tons.
• Direct expansion equipment up to 50 tons.
• Packaged and water-cooled units up to 50 tons.
• Air cooled chillers up to 50 tons.
• Operate water-source heat pumps and related equipment.
• Oversee pneumatic, electronic, and modular DDC control systems.
• Maintain air-handling equipment and VAV systems.
• Inspect gauges, read instruments, and adjust valves, pumps as needed.
• Replace worn parts to repair systems.
• Work in a team and independently following procedures.

Primary Function Of Role

Service, maintain and repair commercial HVAC systems less than or equal to 50 tons.

Specific Job Duties

• Direct expansion equipment up to 50 tons
• Packaged, water-cooled AC units up to 50 tons
• Air cooled Chiller up to 50 tons
• Applied systems up to 50 tons
• Water-source heat pumps and associated equipment
• Computer-room-type units with self-contained humidifiers and controls
• Gas-fired and electric heating systems found in commercial equipment up to 50 tons
• Pneumatic, electronic, and modular DDC control systems generally associated with commercial HVAC systems
• Air-handling equipment including VAV systems typically found in larger commercial systems
• Basic maintenance on atmospheric gas-fired hot-water boilers
• Low voltage (24-volt or 1- to 10-volt) temperature-control systems generally associated with HVAC equipment
• Air-handling equipment and duct systems associated with the commercial HVAC equipment
• Performs general maintenance on chilled- and hot-water piping and pumping systems and associated equipment
• Starts system, observes operation, reads gauges and instruments, and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls, and pumps to control levels of fluid, pressure, and temperature in system
• Replaces or adjusts defective or worn parts to repair systems
