Job summary

Riverstone Communities is seeking a Level 2 Maintenance Technician in Houston, TX for full-time, 40 hours/week. Responsibilities include plumbing repairs, electrical tasks, and maintaining property curb appeal. The role requires 2–3 years in general labor with basic plumbing experience, and ability to work outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of general labor including groundskeeping and property maintenance.
• Ability to perform basic residential plumbing tasks (1-2 years).
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to drive to multiple locations on the property with a valid license.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing work such as repairing faucets and toilets and diagnose leaks.
• Handle electrical tasks like fixtures, outlets, and breakers as needed.
• Oversee curb appeal and groundskeeping to Riverstone Communities’ standards.
• Complete clean outs of homes and finish work orders promptly.
• Maintain safety standards and conduct inventory checks.
• Participate in online trainings and other duties as trained.

We are currently seeking a qualified Level 2 Maintenance Technician for our Shady Oak Village Mobile Home Park located at (5711 Yale Street Houston, TX 77076.)

Job Duties:

• Plumbing work such as repairing or replacing faucets and toilets, operating a sewer cleanout auger, diagnosing and repairing a simple water leak
• Electrical work such as light fixtures, GFCI’s, understanding lightbulb wattage, breakers and fuses, replacing outlets
• Oversee the curb appeal of the community and make sure it is up to Riverstone Communities’ standards which includes:
  • Picking up trash around the community
  • Groundskeeping including lawn mowing, planting flowers, weeding/weed eating, etc
• Complete clean outs of homes
• Finish work orders in an efficient and timely manner
• Complete day to day duties with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all safety laws and regulations
• Conduct regular inventory checks on equipment and supplies
• Take training classes online/virtually via a computer or tablet
• Other duties as qualified and trained to do so

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in general labor including groundskeeping, landscaping, property management maintenance
• 1-2 years of experience in basic residential plumbing
• Ability to be very active - walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Need to be comfortable with working outside in all weather conditions
• Willingness to use technology/learn technology in a basic capacity
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle (drive to different locations on the property) with a valid driver’s license

**Specific maintenance knowledge/skills will be tested for accuracy.
