Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, Florida, is seeking a Level 2 HVAC Mechanic to support our Aerospace Structures team on a 9/80 schedule, first shift 6:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., on-site.

You will install, service, and repair air-conditioning and refrigeration systems, perform inspections, troubleshoot malfunctions, and coordinate with other trades. A valid Florida EPA license and Top-Secret clearance may be required for access to certain programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of HVAC service experience.
• Must obtain/maintain Top-Secret clearance as required.
• Must possess a Universal EPA License.
• Valid Florida driver's license and ability to operate a large box truck.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Flexibility for off shifts and weekends; may shift to second shift.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, rebuild HVAC systems in industrial or large commercial settings.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to prevent failures.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC malfunctions and test for leaks.
• Charge refrigerants and verify system performance.
• Fabricate and install ductwork; manage CMMS work orders.
• Coordinate with other trades as needed.
