Job summary

Mount Sinai's Tisch Cancer Center seeks a Research Program Director to guide the Adult Chronic and Acute Leukemia Program, aligning clinical, academic, and research missions.

You will oversee operations, budgeting, fundraising, educational programs, and cross-functional partnerships to drive program growth and excellence. Collaborate with faculty and departments, optimize resources, implement quality improvements, and mentor staff, trainees, and researchers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, Masters strongly preferred, in sciences or related degree.
• 7 years experience in a hospital/medical environment
• 3 years supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for the Adult Chronic and Acute Leukemia Program, collaborating with faculty and external partners.
• Oversees program operations including budget planning, financial management, resource allocation, grant administration, and philanthropic stewardship.
• Participates in fundraising efforts for new or revised programs through proposals, donor solicitations, and inter-department collaborations.
• Directs planning and execution of educational and scientific programs such as workshops, tumor boards, research symposia, and annual retreats.
• Manages complex projects and cross-functional initiatives, setting priorities and coordinating stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Supports faculty, trainees, and research personnel in recruitment, manuscript and presentation development, and scholarly productivity.
• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal departments, partners, and patient advocacy groups to advance initiatives.
• Establishes policies, workflows, and quality improvements to promote efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Provides administrative oversight of personnel activities including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff engagement.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
