Job summary

Infinity is seeking a Lessons Learned Analyst to serve as the primary integrator between exercise results and real-world operations, ensuring insights are translated into improvements that enhance mission readiness. You will support the NRO Operations Center, coordinating with government and contractor teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a TS/SCI with CI poly, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to briefing senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree with 4+ years; or 10 years in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 5 years of exercise planning or related operational planning experience.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
• Proficiency with JLLIS, JELC processes, strong briefing skills, independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a centralized Lessons Learned repository in JLLIS for organization-wide access.
• Input, tag, and categorize lessons to support planning and operations.
• Collect after-action data from participants through hot washes, surveys, and debriefs.
• Draft and contribute to After-Action Reports with findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate with plans, training, mission protection, and other NOC elements.

Job Summary:

The Lessons Learned Analyst will serve as the primary integrator between NRO exercises and real-world operations, ensuring that insights, lessons learned, and best practices are rapidly translated into operational improvements that enhance mission readiness. This position directly supports the NRO Operations Center (NOC) and contributes to advancing the Space Warfighting Mission through coordination, analysis, and lessons‑learned implementation. The successful candidate will operate within a dynamic, high‑tempo environment, supporting a team of Government and Contractor professionals responsible for monitoring, analyzing, assessing, and delivering mission status, courses of action (COAs), anomaly investigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a centralized Lessons Learned repository using the DoD Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) for organization‑wide access and visibility
• Input, tag, and categorize lessons to support future planning, training, and operational development
• Collect observations and after‑action data from participants, evaluators, and observers through hot washes, surveys, and debriefs
• Draft and contribute to After‑Action Reports (AARs) documenting findings, gaps, and actionable recommendations, linking observations to mission objectives or core capabilities
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for continuous improvement
• Serve as the main point of contact (POC) bridging the gap between exercise results and real‑world operations
• Coordinate with Plans, Training, Mission Protection, and other NOC elements to ensure lessons learned are translated into operational next steps
• Focus on actionable, measurable follow‑up actions that help the NOC deliver on mission and operational requirements
• Support planning meetings, including Initial Planning Conferences (IPC), Mid‑Term Planning Conferences (MPC), and Final Planning Conferences (FPC)
• Facilitate exercise execution by overseeing real‑time conduct, ensuring injects are delivered accurately, and objectives are met
• Provide support to controllers, evaluators, and role players during execution
• Participate in enterprise‑level exercise planning and execution, with occasional travel as required
• Generate, share, and present briefings, reports, and data products for senior leadership and enterprise awareness
• Provide clear, concise, and professional senior‑level briefings summarizing exercise outcomes, findings, and recommendations
• Contribute to working groups and coordination boards as needed to support mission alignment

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of exercise planning or related operational planning experience
• Clearance Requirement:Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph
• Minimum Skills Required:
  • Proficiency with the DoD Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS)
  • Familiarity with Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing senior leadership
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
• Preferred Skills:
  • Military or government experience supporting space operations or space mission planning
  • Relevant certifications or coursework (e.g., Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) Training, Joint Lessons Learned Program (JLLP) or JLLIS User Training, DoD or DHS Exercise Design Course (HSEEP))

Work environment:

• Work full time at customer site
• May require shift work or on‑call availability to support mission operations
• Ability to work in secure environments with restricted access to sensitive information
• Occasional travel may be required for training, collaboration, or operational support

Work Schedule:

This is a full‑time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs.
