General Function

The Team Lead enhances customer and patient experiences by delivering exceptional service, managing key optical and lab processes, and contributing to store success.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

In Retail

• Ensure excellent customer service
• Be proactive, solution-oriented, and knowledgeable about products
• Assist customers with selections and recommendations
• Serve as an alternate store key holder

In Lab (if applicable)

• Custom fit glasses and place prescriptions accurately
• Support team knowledge and skills in lens and lab technology
• Ensure eyewear meets optical standards and customer needs
• Maintain a safe work environment and proper lab equipment operation

Basic Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED
• Experience in optical and retail environments
• Knowledge of optical theory and merchandise
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and sales skills
• Problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators
• Leadership and training experience
• Experience with edging and mounting
• Basic optical measurement knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

• State licensure or ABO Certification (if applicable)
• LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification
• Experience with optical machinery and instruments
• Customer service experience
• Certification in AccuFit Digital Measurement System
• Knowledge of current merchandise and lens options

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: -29.09

Compensation is influenced by various factors including location, experience, and qualifications. Benefits may include health care, retirement, paid time off, and employee discounts. Bonuses and commissions may also be offered.
