GENERAL FUNCTION

The Licensed Team Lead delivers exceptional customer service, creating value for customers & patients, ensuring their satisfaction. They assist in store success by managing key optical & lab processes to achieve excellent results.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

While working in Retail:

  • Ensure the team provides outstanding customer service
  • Be proactive, solution-oriented, and knowledgeable about products
  • Assist customers with selections, provide recommendations, support sales associates
  • Serve as an alternate store key holder

With a current & valid state Opticianry license, perform:

  • Expertise & product knowledge on lens choices based on vision needs & prescriptions
  • Adjust and/or repair eyewear as needed
  • Present & dispense eyewear
  • Perform accurate digital measurements

In the Lab, if applicable:

  • Custom fit glasses & precisely place prescriptions in lenses
  • Support colleagues' knowledge and skills in lens & lab technology
  • Ensure finished eyewear meets standards & customer needs
  • Maintain a safe working environment and proper lab tool operation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • HS diploma/GED
  • Current & valid state Opticianry license
  • Strong optical & retail experience
  • Knowledge of optical theory & merchandise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Sales skills and problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with cash registers, computers & calculators
  • Leadership & training experience
  • Edging & mounting experience
  • Basic optics knowledge & measurement skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • State licensure and/or ABO Certification
  • LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification
  • Experience with optical machinery/instruments
  • Customer service experience
  • AccuFit Digital Measurement System certification
  • Knowledge of store merchandise & lens options
