General Function

The Team Lead creates value by delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring customer and patient satisfaction, and managing key store processes to achieve success.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

In Retail:

• Ensure the team provides outstanding customer service
• Be proactive, solution-oriented, and knowledgeable about products
• Assist customers with selections and recommendations
• Serve as an alternate store key holder

In Lab (if applicable):

• Custom fit glasses and place prescriptions in lenses
• Support associates in developing their skills and certifications
• Ensure eyewear meets standards and customer needs
• Maintain a safe working environment and proper lab equipment

Basic Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED
• Strong optical and retail experience
• Knowledge of optical theory and merchandise
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills and sales ability
• Problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators
• Leadership and training experience
• Experience with edging and mounting lenses
• Basic optics knowledge and measurement skills

Preferred Qualifications

• State licensure and/or ABO Certification (if applicable)
• LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector Certification
• Experience with optical machinery and instruments
• Customer service experience
• AccuFit Digital Measurement System certification
• Knowledge of store merchandise and lens options

Compensation

Pay Range: $18.20 - $30.48 per hour. Compensation is influenced by location, experience, qualifications, and skills. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off, and employee discounts. Bonuses and commissions may also be offered.
