General Function

The Store Manager at Macy's LensCrafters is a leader and business owner within the marketplace and organization. The role involves establishing the store as the premier vision care destination, increasing market share, driving sales and profitability, delivering excellent customer experiences, and maintaining high operational standards through talented staff and adherence to policies.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Drive quality and continuous improvement to meet or exceed key performance indicators.
  2. Position LensCrafters as the leading optical provider in the community.
  3. Understand retail business deeply and apply knowledge to improve sales and results.
  4. Implement best practices for growth with strong business acumen.
  5. Develop and execute business plans to maximize sales and profits, addressing issues proactively.
  6. Lead the team to deliver exceptional customer service and relations.
  7. Manage store profits and expenses.
  8. Set clear expectations, train, coach, and develop team members.
  9. Recruit high-caliber talent and plan for succession.
  10. Follow workforce management guidelines for optimal staffing.
  11. Implement visual directives to maintain brand standards.
  12. Lead Doctor of Optometry co-planning and business meetings.
  13. Leverage insurance plans and participate in local health fairs.
  14. Ensure compliance with company and store policies.
  15. Perform administrative duties including cash handling, payroll, and inventory management.
  16. Maintain safety programs and support store operations during weekends and evenings.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of management or supervisory experience.
  • State licensure.
  • Proven results in growth and performance.
  • Strong business and financial analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
  • Excellent command of English for communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent.
  • Leadership experience in retail and customer service.
  • Knowledge of optics and current merchandise.
