GENERAL FUNCTION

The Apprentice Optician creates value by delivering the LensCrafters Experience, ensuring customers are delighted through our selling model.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, explaining processes, assisting with merchandise selection, fitting, solving visual problems, and dispensing eyewear.
• Serve as a center of excellence, focusing on right the first time and modeling our service and selling standards.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to their needs and budget, and support other associates with complex customer needs.
• Anticipate and resolve problems, educate customers on services and guarantees, and ensure eyewear meets standards and customer requests.
• Operate POS systems accurately, process transactions, and explain delivery times.
• Maintain store appearance and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Part of a sanctioned Apprentice Program
• Strong customer service, communication, and team skills
• Knowledge of optical theory, merchandise, and basic math
• Familiarity with POS systems and technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Studying for LensCrafters Quality, Fitting, and Adjusting Program
• Optical dispensing or retail experience
