Job summary

Jenoptik in the United States is seeking an entry-level System Test Technician I to perform basic lens assembly tests and report findings to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Training will be provided on all system testing, with a strong emphasis on maintaining our testing standards.

Responsibilities include interferometric and MTF testing, field mapping, and documenting results per Good Documentation Practices.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or GED is required.
  • Able to use Word, Excel, Outlook, and other specialty software used in a lab environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Able to Read/Write English.
  • A Standard Vision Test is required (Annually).
  • US Citizenship or Qualified U.S. Worker.

Responsibilities

  • Basic Interferometric and MTF testing and documenting lens assemblies.
  • Field mapping and distortion testing of lens assemblies.
  • Document all necessary test results following Good Documentation Practices.
  • Understand and follow document control and revision procedures.
  • Communicate test results and progress to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager or the System Test Supervisor.
  • Provide direct supervisor feedback and recommendations of any issues that negatively affect testing cycles.
  • Keep lab clean and organized with emphasis on 5S and LEAN initiatives.
  • Provide support to the measurement of aspheric surfaces on as needed basis.
  • Follow all company procedures and policies.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
