Job summary

Revision Military in Essex Junction, VT, is seeking a Coating Technician to monitor the lens coating line (dip, flow coating, and anti-fog) and ensure proper operation. You will interface with Coating Technicians and Engineers, documenting line performance and addressing exceptions.

Responsibilities include running the coating line at capacity, performing basic lens testing, reporting issues, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; military experience a plus.
• Ability to utilize testing equipment to ensure coated lens quality per specs.
• Record data to identify areas for improvement, trends, and special causes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; team-oriented.
• Self-motivated and able to participate in a collaborative environment.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel.
• U.S. Government Authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Coating Line runs at full capacity.
• Perform basic testing and inspection of lenses and fluids.
• Report equipment, maintenance and material issues to Shift Supervisor.
• Document alarms and abnormalities; track lens rejects.
• Routinely change chemicals on the Coating Line.
• Support Process Engineering staff as required.
• Maintain housekeeping on the Coating Line; work closely with Operators.
