Senior Engineer | Lending Technology & Enterprise Integrations
Pay: $65–75/HR W2
Duration: 12 months
Schedule: Hybrid, currently 2 days onsite per week

Swoon is partnering with a major financial institution on a Senior Engineer opportunity supporting the implementation and integration of a new securities-based lending platform.
The team is looking for someone with a strong software engineering background who also understands lending technology. You do not need to come from a Technical Lead or Delivery Lead background. The priority is finding someone who can get into the technical details of how lending systems work, understand how applications and data connect across an enterprise environment, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
The program is currently working through existing systems, future-state requirements, lending platform capabilities, and how the new solution will integrate into a complex banking technology ecosystem. This engineer will work closely with architecture, development, product, lending, and integration teams as the solution moves through implementation.
What you'll get to work on:
- Support the implementation and integration of a new securities-based lending platform within a large enterprise banking environment
- Work across lending applications and existing banking systems to understand integration points, interfaces, data flows, dependencies, and technical requirements
- Partner with engineers and architects on the design and implementation of integrations between the lending platform and downstream/upstream systems
- Analyze existing applications and workflows to understand current-state functionality and help determine how capabilities should transition into the future solution
- Work with APIs, interfaces, application integrations, and data movement across multiple enterprise platforms
- Troubleshoot technical integration challenges and work across development, architecture, QA, product, and vendor teams to resolve them
- Translate technical concepts, constraints, and dependencies clearly for both engineering and business stakeholders
- Support testing, migration, deployment, and implementation activities as the new platform is introduced into the broader technology environment
You’ll be a strong fit if you have:
- A strong software engineering or application development background with meaningful hands‑on technical experience
- Experience working within lending technology, including commercial lending, business banking, private banking, securities-based lending, mortgage, or another legitimate lending environment
- Strong experience with enterprise application integrations and an understanding of APIs, interfaces, data flows, system dependencies, and how applications communicate
- The ability to understand existing application architecture and work through how a new platform should integrate into a larger technology ecosystem
- Experience supporting technology implementations, migrations, integrations, or modernization initiatives within a large enterprise environment
- A solid understanding of lending workflows and the technology supporting the lending lifecycle
- Experience with Loan IQ, Systematics, Supernova, loan‑origination platforms, collateral‑management systems, or comparable lending technology is highly valuable
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to independently dig into technical issues rather than relying on an architect or project manager to define the solution
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work comfortably across engineering, architecture, product, business, and leadership teams
- Financial services or large banking experience is strongly preferred
- A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
This role is not focused on project schedules, governance, Scrum facilitation, or traditional delivery management. The team is specifically interested in someone with real software engineering depth who can operate within a complex lending technology environment and communicate well across the organization.
The strongest candidates will be engineers who understand both the technology underneath a lending platform and the business workflows that technology is supporting.
