Job summary

Homewise is seeking a Lending Support & Program Specialist to join the team as the quiet engine behind mortgage operations in Albuquerque. You will handle renovation loan setups, contractor draws, and government program submissions while coordinating with processing, title, contractors, and external agencies.

This role reports to the Senior Director of Lending and requires meticulous attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multi-system closeouts and regulatory updates during

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years administrative or operational support experience in any field.
• Available to work, in office, during Homewise’s core business hours (8 am -5 pm, Monday - Friday).

Responsibilities

• Set up new loans in the LOS accurately.
• Schedule closings with Real Estate Sales, title companies & clients.
• Manage escrow holdbacks and disbursements on renovation loans.
• Serve as DPA program liaison (FHLB HELP, ABQ CDBG, and others).
• Review closing docs, authorize funding & board loans to servicing.
• Complete closeout across multiple systems & store originals.
• Conduct QA, manage certifications & track regulatory updates.
• Back up Closing and Processing during high-volume periods.

The Lending Support & Program Specialist is the quiet engine behind Homewise's mortgage operations — the person multiple teams trust with specialized work that doesn't fit anyone else's job: renovation loans with contractor draws, government program submissions, and multi-system closeouts. Reporting to the Senior Director of Lending, you're the behind-the-scenes link between processing, title, contractors, and outside agencies — where attention to detail isn't just a piece, it's the whole pie.
