Job summary

First State Bank of Uvalde is seeking a Lending Assistant to support our Loan Operations team. You will assist Lending Officers with consumer, business and Real Estate loan applications, prepare loan documentation, and process payments, while maintaining accurate records on our mainframe.

This role emphasizes compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements, attention to detail, and excellent customer service as you interact with clients and internal partners.

Qualifications

• AA or equivalent degree or 3 years of related experience.
• Experience in financial institution operations, sales, or customer service.
• Proficiency with mainframe and Office software.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process consumer, business, and real estate loan payments and updates.
• Review loan approvals for completeness and generate documents.
• Enter and update loan records in the mainframe system.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding balances and payoff requests.
• Assist with loan file preparation for audits/exams.
• Collaborate with loan officers to ensure proper documentation and compliance.
