Job summary

Jobot in Dallas, TX seeks a Banking & Finance Associate with 1.5–4 years’ experience to join a sophisticated mid-market finance practice. You will work on lender-side transactions across equipment, CRE, cashflow, and asset-backed financing, with mentorship from a Shareholder and senior attorneys.

You will structure deals, draft agreements, and coordinate with clients while developing deep market insight in Texas and national lending.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and good standing with the Texas Bar.
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience including commercial lending.
• Experience drafting and negotiating loan documents and related instruments.
• AmLaw or comparable large-firm training preferred; familiarity with financial issues is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, structure, and close first- and second-lien, unsecured, and syndicated loans for lenders and borrowers.
• Oversee security documents and perfection of security interests across asset-based and real estate lending.
• Draft and review loan documents, notes, security agreements, and related financing papers.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on live transactions with hands‑on mentorship.
