Job summary

BENCHMARK is seeking a Sales Manager for Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa in the United States. The Sales Manager will be responsible for attaining sales goals tied to the hotel's performance and will work closely with the Director of Sales to secure new accounts.

The ideal candidate will possess prior hotel sales experience and be adept at managing relationships with clients while maintaining visibility in the community. Compensation offered is $85,000 annually.

Job Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for attaining assigned goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. The individual will effectively solicit and secure new accounts, working with the Director of Sales to achieve revenue and market share goals for one or more properties. The focus of sales may vary based on the respective property (Leisure, Business Travel, Group, SMERF).

Property

Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa – 285 guest rooms and 114,410 sq. ft. of meeting space located along the Atlantic coastline.

Responsibilities

• Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals, and solicitation call goals.
• Proactively conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients for Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel, and/or Group segments as applicable.
• Grow existing relationships with assigned accounts.
• Monitor and evaluate market trends.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service‑oriented manner.
• Develop a full working knowledge of the hotel operations and policies.
• Maintain visibility in local community and industry organizations.
• Assist in implementing or participating in special promotions, such as sales blitzes.
• Attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings and other functions required by management.
• Perform any other duties requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; previous hotel sales experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
• Developed verbal and written communication skills for negotiating, convincing, selling, and influencing managerial personnel, hotel guests, and corporate clients.
• Experience with professional selling skills such as opening, probing, supporting, and closing.
• Proficiency in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with strong organization and presentation skills.

Compensation

$85,000 – $85,000
